How To Decorate Rice Krispie Treats?

Whether you are making Rice Krispie treats for Halloween or simply to add a seasonal twist, you can get creative with the treats.

This recipe includes 7 different designs: bats, ghosts, mummies, jack-o-lanterns, spiders, and Frankenstein’s monster. All you need is a few ingredients and a few minutes of your time.

To decorate the treats, start by setting aside 8 of the mini marshmallows. Next, place them back-side down on a piece of parchment paper. This will allow them to be easily pushed into the rice krispie treats.

Next, you will need white almond bark. This can be heated in the microwave for about 10 seconds. You can also use regular chocolate almond bark if you prefer.

You can also use peanut butter chips or mini chocolate chips. These can be stirred into the rice krispie treats after they have been coated in chocolate. You can also add crushed Oreos to the mix.

If you are using regular sized marshmallows, you will need to cut them into quarters. You will also need to set aside 8 of the marshmallows for the monster. The remaining marshmallows can be used for the bat and spider heads.

For the eyes, you can use googly eyes. You can also place the eyes towards the upper center of the treat. Alternatively, you can use white chocolate for the eyes. The chocolate can be dipped into M&M’s for the noses.

When you are ready to decorate the treats, use a piping bag with a small hole in the tip. You can also pipe the word “BOO” in a slightly angled fashion.
